A Ridgeland man was airlifted to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike.
Wilmer Allison Tuten, 52, was thrown from his bike as it crossed U.S. 17 after the driver of a 2004 Saturn struck him, according to a Ridgeland Police Department news release.
Tuten was in good condition Saturday, according to Ridgeland Police spokesman Cpl. Tim East. The investigation into the accident is continuing and no charges had been filed, police said.
