Lightning stops game after one quarter at Bible Baptist

Hilton Head Prep 20, Bible Baptist 0

Junior Teron Daley had a touchdown rushing, receiving and throwing in the first quarter for the Dolphins, but he wasn't able to do any more when the game was halted after one quarter because of lightning in the Savannah area.

Calling the game after only one period was an unusual decision, but Hilton Head Prep coach Kevin Wald felt it was the right move.

"I think since it was non-conference and we've already had our bye week, I think it was the best solution," the Dolphins' first-year coach said.

Noah Sulek had an interception on the first possession of the game to quickly put momentum into Prep's hands.

Charlie Wilmot had the touchdown pass to Daley.

"We were really getting rolling offensively," Wald said.

Hilton Head Prep (2-1) plays at Palmetto Christian on Friday.
