Published: September 5, 2012

Jasper County athletics director James Gardner said Tuesday that the unidentified person affiliated with the Ridgeland-Hardeeville football team who was hospitalized after Friday night's 54-12 loss at Hilton Head Island High School is OK.

Gardner said the person was a volunteer assistant who had a blood pressure issue and already has gotten approval from doctors to return to the sideline.

Beaufort County Sheriff deputies responded to an incident in the visitor's locker room after the loss to Hilton Head Island. There were no arrests.

The Jaguars (0-2) will look for their first win when they host Savannah Country Day at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
