Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Hilton Head store Sunday night.
Employees at the South Beach General Store in Sea Pines Plantation said that the suspect, a unknown black male carrying a handgun, first entered the store around 10 p.m.

Several minutes later, the man returned wearing gloves and a blue bandana covering his face. After showing employees the gun, he forced one to the office area of the store and demanded money. He took the contents of the safe fled the store, leaving all employees and customers unharmed.
The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, wearing a Carolina Panthers baseball cap, white t-shirt, black jeans shorts, and a blue bandana.
The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Cpl. D. Nelson at 843-255-3412 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
