Middle class losing in economic struggle

Published: August 31, 2012

We are not only facing a war of domination of women, but also of the middle class and livable wages for the masses.

Attempts to remove the right to collective bargaining from public employees is nothing less than limiting the access to a living wage for everyone. We are heading toward a form of wage slavery pay that will allow you to live, but not too well in exchange for long hours, stressful employment and few or no benefits.

What happened to the three-legged stool of retirement for everyone? Personal savings, company pensions and Social Security were promised to all. The miraculous 401(k) has not been the golden goose promised. The home you purchased years ago has fallen to 1988 values, leaving you underwater or worse.

Is this the vaunted 21st century we were expecting? Where are we going? There is no spending money available from the average American to give stimulus to a new economy.
