PHOTO: Continuing rain makes for hazardous driving conditions across the Lowcountry

This vehicle, which apparently skidded off of a wet road, was partially submerged in a drainage ditch in Bluffton's Sheridan Park Thursday afternoon.

Heavy rain soaked the Lowcountry on Thursday, making for dangerous driving conditions. In Louisianna, Tropical Storm Isaac continued it slow, wet slog through the state. Also Thursday, Tropical Storm Leslie formed in the Atlantic far from land. The storm has maximum sustained winds near 40 mph. Leslie is centered about 1,125 miles east of the Windward Islands.
