Bar accused of serving booze too late

Two bartenders at an Okatie bar were hauled to the Beaufort County Detention Center on Sunday after serving beer and liquor to undercover deputies after 2 a.m., according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Latinos, the bar were the two women worked, does not have a license to serve liquor on Sunday between midnight and 2 a.m., Sgt. Robin McIntosh said. The Sheriff's Office Alcoholic Beverage Control team cited the women and the bar with serving booze after hours.

The women had been warned before about illegal serving, when they worked at Palomas in Bluffton, McIntosh said.

Latinos could face fines or loss of its liquor license or both, according to the S.C. Department of Revenue's Alcohol Beverage Licensing office .
