Jasper County Council will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at the P.A.H. Community Center in Purrysburg for a new gravity sewer-pump station and pipeline.

The project will bring new wastewater service to residents along Old Charleston Highway, according to a news release from the Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority.

Funding for the project came from the Community Development Block Grant program and contributions from Jasper County, the S.C. Budget and Control Board, and BJWSA.
