Beaufort police are looking for two people who allegedly used credit cards stolen Saturday from the Baptist Church of Beaufort, according to a news release.

Officers were called to the church at about 9 a.m. when one of its employees found that the building had been broken into during the night, the release said.

A safe and other items were reported stolen, the release said. Some of the stolen items later were found floating in the Beaufort River.

Credit cards stolen from the church were used at the Walmart on Robert Smalls Parkway by two people who were captured on the store's surveillance cameras, the release said.

Anyone who knows the identities of the suspects can call the Beaufort Police Department at 843-322-7950 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
