A spirit night is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Arby's for the cheerleaders.

Freshman orientation is 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Freshmen will pick up their schedules and have their school pictures taken at this time. Details: 843-322-5582

The SADD Club is collecting school supplies for CAPA. Donations may be left in the front office through Aug. 15.

PTSO and SIC nomination forms are available in the front office or on the BCHS website. The deadline to submit applications is Aug. 31.

The back-to-school open house is 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 16 in the cafeteria. Class lists will be posted, free and reduced-price lunch applications will be available and uniforms will be available for purchase. Dinner is provided.

The school will offer "Alive at 25," a defensive driving course, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 18 and Sept. 8. The course also will be offered at the Beaufort Police Department from 3:45 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 5 and Oct. 3. An open house is 1-7:30 p.m. Aug. 15. Pick up your student's class schedule, visit teachers, purchase uniforms at a discounted rate or pick up uniforms ordered in June. There will be door prizes and a free spaghetti dinner from 5-7 p.m.
