Dataw Island's Stuart Carrihill was the only golfer to break par Saturday, shooting a 3-under 69 to take the lead after the first round of the Hilton Head Open at Wexford Plantation Club on Hilton Head Island.
Carrihill leads the overall and professional divisions by three strokes over professional P.J. Politan, who shot 72. Four shots back at 1-over 73 and in a three-way tie for third and the amateur championship flight lead are Jason Rossetti, Cole Adams and Jeff Wong.
Carrihill and Politan tee off at 1:50 p.m. today from No. 1. The trio of Wong, Adams and Rossetti tee off at 1:40 p.m. from No. 10.
