Mr. and Mrs. Scott Harms of Bluffton announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Harms of Bluffton, to Robert Lawrence of Williamsburg, Va., the son of Jim and Judy Lawrence of Newport News, Va.

The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Beaufort. She attends Capella University working on her Masters of Science in Mental Health. She is the Human Resource Specialist for the Newport News Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The groom-elect is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Beaufort. He is a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones Investments.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 12, 2012.
