Part bicycle, part elliptical machine, the ElliptiGO is already a familiarsight around the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa.
For $8 an hour -- or $17 for three hours -- hotel guests and the public alike can discover a new way to get fit by taking one of the hotel's three neon-green ElliptiGOs for a spin.
"It's kind of like running, but without the impact on your knees," explained Justin Neuhart, the hotel's "manager of fun."
He said the Westin became the only hotel on the island to rent the contraptions after it received a shipment for an outdoor wellness program in May.
"We are very excited to partner with Westin to offer the ElliptiGO to their guests," said Bryce Whiting, the company's vice president of sales. "We've had a great deal of positive feedback from the first properties that received ElliptiGOs and feel Westin Hotels is the perfect fit given their commitment to their guests' well-being."
The ElliptiGOs, which have eight speeds offering varying degrees of resistance, are produced in San Diego and can sell for as much as $2,500.
