Charges against Gov. Nikki Haley recently were dismissed by the House Ethics Committee for the second time in two months. The Ethics Committee held unprecedented public hearings that proved these charges never had any evidence behind them.

The whole process was a waste of taxpayer money, as well as the time and energy of those involved. The claims made against Haley were not based on fact, but instead based on a politically charged personal vendetta from the chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party, who made offensive remarks about the governor and some in the Republican Party.

It's time to move forward from these false claims. With Haley's leadership, South Carolina is setting an example for other states to follow in establishing good-paying jobs and creating opportunities for new businesses, as well as current businesses.

During her time in office, Haley has brought more than 25,000 jobs to the Palmetto State. She also is helping with the expansion of numerous manufacturing plants and the development of nuclear energy projects around the state. South Carolina now is one of the nation's leaders in tire manufacturing, according to the Wall Street Journal, as well as one of the top states to do business with. The governor's results speak for themselves.
