A 32-year-old Lady's Island man was found dead in his backyard by a neighbor at about 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
The White Dogwood Lane resident had likely been dead for about three days, Beaufort County deputy coroner David Ott said Saturday. His identity wasn't released pending notification of next of kin, Ott said.
The cause of death is unknown, and there were no apparent signs of foul play, he said. The body was sent to the Medical University of South Carolina where toxicology reports could take from six to eight weeks, Ott said.
The man had not been reported missing, but was last seen June 29 by the same neighbor who discovered his body.
