Two women died and one was injured in a one-car wreck this morning on Interstate 95 in Hardeeville, according to Hardeeville fire and police authorities.
The driver apparently swerved to avoid debris and hit a tree, the department said.
Two of the women were dead at the scene. The third was taken to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah.
The accident occurred at mile marker 12 in the northbound lane. Traffic, at one point, was backed up for four miles.
No further information has been released at this time.
