Authorities are looking for a man who held up the Corner Mart on Ribaut Road in Port Royal on Wednesday.
A shirtless man with a T-shirt wrapped around his head to cover his face walked into the store at about 6:20 a.m. and pointed what appeared to be a gun wrapped in a black towel at the clerk, according to a Port Royal police report. The suspect -- described as black, about 5-foot-10 with a muscular build -- stole the cash drawer, which had $52 in it, according to the report. The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit tried to track the robber, but he wasn't found.
Anyone with information about the crime can call Port Royal police at 843-986-2220.
