Fire destroys home on St. Helena

Published: July 5, 2012

A fire on St. Helena Island on Wednesday night destroyed a 2000-square-foot home.

Two of the home’s three residents were on vacation. A resident in the home off Sha Vasia Lane and Storyteller Road escaped with no injuries and called 911 just after midnight.

It took St. Helena fire fighters about three hours to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
