It's Bush's fault. We've heard this from Obama for 3-1/2 years. If he gets re-elected, 4-1/2 years from now we will no doubt be hearing the same thing.

Let's set the record straight. The 2008 recession was not caused by former President George W. Bush and his tax cuts, (which helped the economy, by the way), but by good ol' Barney Frank and Chris Dodd insisting that loaning money to people to buy homes they could not afford was in everyone's best interest. Because real estate always goes up in value, right? Unfortunately, a large majority of those loans defaulted, and that caused the recession. In spite of the fact that Bush tried, without success to stop it. Again Frank and Dodd stopped the attempt. (Interesting that both of them are either out of office or not running again. Just a coincidence?)

As has been said before, nothing that Obama has tried has worked. Everything he has done has failed and only added to our national debt. And Americans are eback in office? I hope not.

It is interesting to note that everything that Republicans do poorly is on the front page of every newspaper, including The Island Packet and The Beaufort Gazette. Almost everything that Obama does poorly is never mentioned. I wonder why that is? Could they possibly be biased?

The future of America depends on responsible citizens going to the polls on Nov. 6.
