West Ashley 9, Lowcountry Heat 5: West Ashley pounded out 15 hits and received 11 walks to send Post 185 to a defeat that could have been even more lopsided. West Ashley (7-8) left 19 runners on base.

Logan Phillips went 3 for 4 and scored a run for the Heat, who fall to 8-4 in the league. Grant Youmans went 2 for 4 with an RBI.

Ryan Ward (2-2) took the loss for the Heat, who host Beaufort for a doubleheader at 6 p.m. Friday at Hilton Head Island High School. The second-place Heat will wrap up their regular season with a home game Monday against league-leading Goose Creek and then at Goose Creek on July 5.

Lowcountry Heat Juniors 5, Goose Creek 1: Greg Warren got the victory and Marlin Clark pitched two scoreless innings of relief for the Junior Heat (10-2), who play at Goose Creek tonight.
