HILTON HEAD SHARKS WIN FATHERS DAY TOURNAMENT

The Hilton Head Sharks 18-and-under baseball team won the Fathers Day Home Run Challenge in Lexington this weekend.

The Sharks defeated the White Knoll Silver Foxes, 7-0, in the championship game of the gold division. Michael Grant was the tournament MVP.

Other members of the Sharks are: Taylor Place, John David Reichel, Matt Brown, Dylan Powell, Patrick Briody, Nic Levy, Chase Clayton, Justin Thigpen, Nick Beline, Hudson Farmer and Jake Martin. The team is coached by Dobbie Green and assistants Jon Collins and Blake Clayton.

DOMINATORS WIN SAVANNAH 3V3 TITLE, QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS

The Hilton Head Dominators, an under-10 boys soccer team, defeated Beaufort's BC United 5-2 in the championship game this weekend of the Coastal Georgia 3v3 Summer Sizzler tournament in Savannah. The win qualifies the Dominators to play in the 3v3 Challenge Sports National Tournament, which will be held in August in Orlando, Fla.

The Dominators also defeated BC United in championship of the Hilton Head 3v3 By-the-Sea tournament on June 3 to qualify for the World Futbol Tour World Cup, which will be held in Mooresville, N.C., in late July.

Members of the Dominators are: Jacob Weaver, Carson Webster, Paul Jones, Jesus Morales-Videla, and Dominic Claudio-Lorenazana. The team is coached by Mike Weaver.

CLUB KARATE STUDENTS WIN IN NORTH AUGUSTA

Two Club Karate students took top prize recently in the Memorial Day Challenge hosted by Premiere Martial Arts in North Augusta. Ryan Giles took first place in the youth Orange Belt fighting division, while Grayce Houchins finished on top in youth Orange Belt Kata. Club Karate's Robert Gay placed fourth in the adult Black Belt fighting division.
