St. Helena fire damages unoccupied trailer

A fire damaged an unoccupied mobile home on St. Helena Island on Thursday night, and firefighters are investigating the cause.

The fire at 820 Seaside Rd. was reported at 9:11 p.m. Lady's Island/St. Helena firefighters said they arrived in about six minutes and had the fire knocked down in about 10. The amount of damage was not immediately known.

Firefighters at the scene said the single-wide home had been being used for storage, and did not have utilities.

No injuries were reported.
