Gazette College Honors May 14

  • Chloe Bellomy of Beaufort, a member of the class of 2012 at Washington and Lee University, has earned honor roll status for the winter 2012 term. Honor roll status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.

  • James Harshaw Lane III was given Wofford College's highest academic honor April 26, when he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He is the son of Theresa and James Lane of Beaufort.

  • Kimberly Brown of Beaufort, a student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, was honored during Armstrong's Spring 2012 Student Awards Convocation held in Savannah on April 11. Brown received the Silver A for Service.

  • Jessica Harley was named to the dean's list for the spring 2011-12 semester at Georgia Military College. She is the daughter of Cathy and Herbert Harley of St. Helena Island.

  • Francis Marion University announced local students that graduated during the commencement exercises May 5.
