Deputies have been following up on leads from callers who might have spotted a 40-year-old Sun City Hilton Head woman reported missing Thursday but have not found her, Lt. Alfredo Givens of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office said Sunday.

Caroline Gibson was reported missing Thursday morning by her parents, Norm and Trudy Fowler, with whom she lives at 33 Nightingale Lane, according to a news release.

She was last seen at her residence and was reportedly headed to Belks in Beaufort, her former place of employment, but never arrived, the release said.

She is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with brown, highlighted hair and hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a black or gray shirt, black jogging pants and sunglasses. She drives a red, two-door Toyota Yaris with South Carolina plates FKK 217 and with rosary beads hanging from the rearview mirror, according to the release.

Anyone with information is asked to call either Investigator B. Chapman at 843-255-3417, the county dispatch center at 843-524-2777 or the Sheriff's Office Crime Stoppers hotline at 843-255-3800.
