Kristin Elizabeth Morton and Tyler Andrew Melnick of Bluffton were married at 2:30 p.m. April 28, 2012, at Church of the Cross in Bluffton.

The Very Rev. Dr. Charles E. Owens III officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis G. Morton III of Beaufort, S.C. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lee Spradley of Neeses, S.C.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose J. Pinckney of Beaufort and Mr. Lewis G. Morton Jr. of Bluffton and the late Catherine Morton. The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lee Tyler of Neeses, S.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady Spradley of Wagener, S.C. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Lewis G. “Butch” Morton III.

The bride wore a White Exclusive Design in diamond white taffeta. The dress featured layered tank sleeves and layered taffeta ribbons throughout.

The lowered back had covered buttons to the hem of the chapel-length train. The dress was adorned with a Watters design sash embellished with hand jeweled Swarovski crystals and fresh water pearls. She carried a simple bouquet of white and cream roses, and lilies. Matron of honor was Mrs. Katherine Morton Hale of Beaufort, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Ms. Amy Lynett Fiallo of Mt. Pleasant; Ms. Tiffany Davis of Sylvania, Ga., cousin of the bride; Mrs. Tiffany Kay Heath of Beaufort, currently residing in Okinawa; and Mrs. Tyler McKay Reichel, of Beaufort, cousin of the bride.

Junior bridesmaid was Keating McKay Reichel, cousin of the bride.

Best man was the groom’s father, Alan Lee Spradley.

Groomsmen were Marshall Lee Horton of Bluffton; Bryan Sinclair Hawkins of August, Ga.; Lyle Mark Burns of Augusta; and Larry Maxwell Rutland of Norway, S.C.

Ushers were James Perry Black of Bluffton, friend of the groom, and Alexander Joseph Hall of Beaufort, brother of the bride.

Flower girl was Miss Virginia Ambrose Reichel, cousin of the bride, and ring bearer was Master Addison Blake Rivers, nephew of the bride.

The bride received her Associates of Nursing from The Technical College of the Lowcountry. She is a Registered Nurse at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

The groom received his Bachelor of Arts from The Citadel and his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law. He is an attorney at Finger & Fraser, P.A.

The reception was held at the South Carolina Yacht Club.

The evening prior the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Shell Hall Clubhouse in Bluffton, S.C.

Following a honeymoon in Phuket, Thailand, the couple will reside in Bluffton, S.C.
