A 40-year-old Sun City woman last seen Thursday is the focus of a continuing search by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Caroline Gibson was reported missing Thursday morning by her parents, Norm and Trudy Fowler, with whom she lives, according to a Sheriff's Office report.

Capt. Thomas Smith said that as of Saturday evening, Gibson had not been found.

Additional details about the case were unavailable.

Missing person flyers circulated in greater Bluffton describe the missing woman as 5-foot-5-inches tall, with brown, highlighted hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing jogging pants and a gray T-shirt, and had only $29 and a Visa card, the flyer said.

Gibson drives a red, two-door Toyota Yaris with South Carolina plates FKK 217. She has an undisclosed medical condition, the flyer said.

Her parents are hoping she will be found safe, her father said Saturday.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office at 524-2777.
