VIDEO: Caddie fends off alligator during RBC Heritage round 1

Published: April 13, 2012

It could give new meaning to the term "water hazard."

Kip Henley went above and beyond the call of caddie-dom when he warded off an intruding alligator on the 15th hole at the RBC Heritage tournament yesterday.

The 6-foot gator was too close to golfer Brian Gay's ball, so Henley poked at it with a rake until it left the green and went back into the water.

About his show of bravery, Henley told Fox Sports, "They won't come at you when they're turned the other way."

Gay ended up bogeying the hole.
