G. Forrest Dyar Jr. and Tonya P. Dyar of Hilton Head Island announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Vardelle Dyar of Arlington, Va., to Elliott Bishop Daniels of Washington, D.C., the son of Dr. Charles Andrew Daniels of Goldsboro, N.C., and Ms. Markeata B. Daniels of Hilton Head Island.

The wedding is planned for June 10, 2012.

The bride-elect is a Savannah and Hilton Head native. In 2009, she received a double major in English and German from the College of Charleston. She was a member of the women’s tennis teams at both Samford University and the College of Charleston.

She now works in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The groom-elect graduated from Heritage Academy in 2004 and from George Washington University in 2008 where he received his Bachelor of Arts in History and was a member of the men’s tennis team. He is a second-year law student at George Washington University Law School and a candidate for graduation in 2013. He is actively engaged in International Human Rights work.
