Published: March 7, 2012

Hilton Head Christian Academy's upper school drama department will pay tribute to The King this weekend with their production of the musical "All Shook Up."

The cast of more than 30 students will sing and dance to Elvis favorites including "Heartbreak Hotel," "Burning Love," "Jailhouse Rock" and "Can't Help Falling in Love."

"All Shook Up" is written by Joe DiPietro and based on Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." Set in Smalltown USA, the action begins when a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing stranger rambles into town on his bike. Chad, played by senior Andrew Halley, stirs up the town, helping them discover the magic of romance and the power of rock 'n' roll.

Seniors sharing the spotlight with Halley include Abbey Robinson, Amanda McElynn, Logan Cunningham and Reilly Toomer.

The musical is directed by Rhonda Stones, with choreography by Kathleen Watkins. It features a live orchestra directed by James Berry.
