Donna M. Hutchens of Beaufort and Dr. C. Allen Henry of St. Helena Island were married at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 on James Island, S.C.
The Reverend Gene Dillard officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Helen R. Collier of Beaufort and the late Retired U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Warren Dale Hutchens.
The groom is the son of Charles E. and Nettie K. Henry of St. Helena Island.
The bride was given in marriage by her stepfather, Retired U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Major John T. Collier.
The bride is a graduate of Beaufort High School and attended the University of South Carolina before taking on years of traveling. She is employed by Broad Marsh Animal Hospital (formerly Animal Hospital of Beaufort), active in the tennis community and an active member of a local Christian Church.
The groom is a graduate of Beaufort Academy. He graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. Degree in Animal Science and in Zoology. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. He is affiliated with Henry Farms, Inc. of St. Helena Island. He has practiced veterinary medicine in Beaufort for 30 years. He owns Broad Marsh Animal Hospital (formerly Animal Hospital of Beaufort). He is a member of a local Christian Church.
The couple honeymooned at various locations in South Carolina and West Virginia. They will reside between the waterfront condo in Beaufort and the farm house on St. Helena Island.
