Motorcyclist listed in stable condition

A motorcyclist air-lifted to Savannah after a wreck Tuesday on Buckwalter Parkway is in stable condition, according to the Bluffton Police Department.

Jesse Thomas, age and address unknown, is still being treated at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, according to a news release.

Thomas collided with an SUV pulling out of the parking lot of Church of the Cross at about 2:20 p.m. He was not wearing a helmet and had serious injuries, police said.

The SUV driver was not injured and has been cited for failure to yield, said Sgt. Joe Babkiewicz.
