Beaufort man charged with indecent exposure

A 52-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after a group of girls said he stood naked in front of his window and fondled himself while looking at them Sunday, according to Beaufort police.

The man was charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure after three young girls reported seeing him in an apartment complex off Old Salem Road, police Chief Matt Clancy said.

The man was released Wednesday from the Beaufort County Detention center on his own recognizance, according to the jail log.

If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison, according to state law.
