Port Royal is planning to put more money into Casablanca Park, up to $10,000 to update playground equipment that is outdated and dangerous, showing signs of rot and rust. The town intends to use a state and a federal grant to pay for the equipment and work. During the past five years, the town has spent roughly $400,000 on stormwater drainage, lighting, basketball court resurfacing, landscaping and parking to make it a safer and better park.
