Hubbard, Dou share boys lead at Junior Heritage

Charleston's Richard Hubbard and ZeCheng Dou of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., carded 1-under-par 71s Saturday at Heron Point in Sea Pines to share the first-round lead in the boys division of the Sea Pines Junior Heritage.

Both Hubbard and Duo, ranked 15th in Golf Week's national rankings for juniors, are playing the Junior Heritage for the first time.

Hank Haney IJGA student Matt Cheng is two strokes behind the leaders, and Bluffton Ben Dietrich is three strokes back going into today's final round.

Bryana Nguyen of Columbia, Md., is leading the girls division at 1-under 71. Clementina Rodriguez, another IJGA student, is four shots behind Nguyen.

Defending girls champion McKenzie Talbert finished the first round with a score of 6-over 78.

Today's round begins at 8:30 a.m. at Harbour Town Golf Links. The leaders will be teeing off around 10:30 a.m.
