The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra's Youth Concerto Competition concert finalswere held Saturday held at St. Luke's Episcopalian Church on Saturday. Eight young instrumentalists competed for a $1,000 first prize and a solo performance with the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra.

The winners were:

  • First Prize ($1,000) violinist Shannon Fitzhenry

  • Second Prize ($500) violinist Cameron Lugo

  • Third Prize ($300) flutist Hally Davidson.

  • All other finalists received a $100 stipend.

    Judging the competition were Jane Sine, head judge and classical music instructor; Terry Moore, concertmaster of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra; and Russell Floyd, minister of music at the First Presbyterian Church on Hilton Head Island.
