Beaufort High School's Big Green Booster Club is hosting its annual Family Oyster Roast fundraising event from 5-10 p.m. Saturday at the Live Oaks Park in Port Royal.
The event costs $25 for singles, $40 for couples, and children 12 and younger are free with a paid adult.
"We're really working hard, trying to make the facilities better for the kids," said Jane Stewart of the booster club. Stewart said the group is hoping for about 300 patrons.
The price of a ticket includes beer, wine and oysters. Hot dogs and chili also will be served. Entertainment will be provided by Mark Bond. There will be a silent auction, raffles -- including one for a golf cart -- and door prizes.
All proceeds will benefit the athletic teams at Beaufort High School.

GAMES RESCHEDULED
Saturday's basketball games between Hilton Head Christian Academy and Beaufort Academy have been rescheduled. The girls and boys games have been moved to Tuesday, Feb. 14. The games will be held at Beaufort Academy, as regularly scheduled.
