Teen shoots himself in the leg

A spokeswoman for the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says a Burton teen who shot himself in the leg Wednesday night is unlikely to face charges.

Deputies were called to a home at about 10:15 p.m. after reports of a gunshot victim and met with a 15-year-old boy who had a gunshot wound to his left calf, according to the incident report.

Sgt. Robin McIntosh said investigators later determined the shooting was accidental.
