Bluffton 74, Hilton Head Prep 38: The Bobcats weren't at their best but still claimed a 36-point win over Prep.
Bluffton (15-2, 5-1) was coming off a huge victory over region rival Lake Marion the night before, and Bobcats coach Brett Macy felt that had an effect in Saturday's non-league matchup.
"We were a little sluggish," Macy said. "I certainly think we were a step slow coming off such an emotional win last night."
Dimitri Lowry and Demetrius Smalls paced Bluffton with 16 and 12 points, respectively, while Bo Strimpfel added nine.
"We used our depth again," Macy said. "We pressued and kind of slowly pulled away from them. Prep played real hard. All and all, not a bad night."
The Bobcats return to action Tuesday, when they travel to Cane Bay. Bluffton controls its own destiny in Region 7-AAA and can claim the title outright if it wins its final four region games.
Prep (4-18) was led by Jeremy Haidon, who grabbed eight points, seven boards, four steals and took three charges. The Dolphins host Hilton Head Christian Academy on Tuesday.

WRESTLING
Stratford Invitational: Beaufort High claimed three champions en route to a third-place finish in the 16-team Stratford Invitational.
Thyrik Legree (182 pounds), Clint Wright (195) and Codrian Smalls (220) were champions for the Eagles. Beaufort High also had third-place finishes from four wrestlers: Tommy Collins (113), Forrest Kimbrell (145), JaClay Mixon (170) and Tyler Wilson (285).
Heavyweight David Ratliff and 152-pounder Deandre Johnson each claimed individual championships for Battery Creek, helping the Dolphins earn a fifth-place finish. Chris Bockelman (106) and Joey Kasper-Little (132) earned runner-up finishes for the Dolphins.
