Reichel, Hawk

Johanna Morgan Reichel and John Andrew Hawk were married at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 12, 2011 in Providence Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Rob and Jody Reichel of Hilton Head Island. The groom is the son of Don and Cyndee Hawk of Cornelius, N.C. The bride is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. L.R. Bennett of Jesup, Ga. and the late Dr. and Mrs. John Reichel Jr.

The groom is the grandson of Harriet Hawk and the late Donald George Hawk Sr. and Pauline Warrington and the late Walter Warrington.

The Rev. Dr. Martin W. Lifer III officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The maid of honor was Austin Smith of New York City. Bridesmaids were: Becca Whitton of Columbia; McKenzie Butler of Arlington, Va.; Kate Suess of Banner Elk, N.C.; Tierney Short of Washington DC; Cori Mehan of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Amy Gill of Cincinnati; Chrissy Song of Atlanta; and Melissa Reichel of Charlotte, N.C.

The groom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were: Adam Cloninger of Denver, N.C.; Colby Moore of Austin, Texas; Caleb Jones of Sarasota, Fla.; Jarad Russell of Jackson, Tenn.; John Haggan of Cornelius, N.C.; Dan Chittock of Concord, N.C.; Todd Smartt of Huntersville, N.C. ; and Andrew Reichel of Charlotte. Ushers were: John Freeman of Charlotte; Jeffrey Reichel of Savannah; and John David Reichel of Hilton Head.

Twin ring bearers were Gabriel and Addison Drucker of Kannapolis, N.C. Debbie Moore of Parfait a Moore Events and Henry Kretchmer at The Flower Garden on Hilton Head were in charge of church decorations.

Wedding music was provided by pianist Duchess Raehn and Classical Charleston Strings. Following the ceremony, a reception given by the bride's parents was held at the Coastal Museum at Honey Horn Plantation and catered by R and R Catering of Hilton Head. Cakes were created by Signes Heaven Bound Bakery.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Hilton Head Christian Academy. An Elementary Education major at the University of Mississippi, she played for the University's women's soccer team. She is a teacher at Chesterbrook Academy in Charlotte.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of Southlake Christian Academy and a 2009 graduate of the University of North Carolina Charlotte in Political Science. He is employed as an Account Manager at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

After honeymooning in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, they are now residing in Davidson, N.C.
