Battery Creek 49, Hilton Head High 25: The Dolphins and Seahawks closed out the dual portion of their season, with host Battery Creek rolling to victory in a Region 7-AAA matchup.
Chris Bockelman, Josh Green, Joey Kasper-Little, Brian Labean, Joey Galtelli, Josh Knight, David Ratliff and Caleb Weaver all had victories for Battery Creek.
For Hilton Head High, David Waddell (120 pounds) and Label Lewis (132) had pins, while Brock Massey (126) and Nick Bautista (195) earned major decisions. The win for Massey followed up his third-place finish in Saturday's JV state meet.
Hilton Head High (5-13) hosts the Region 7-AAA tournament on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Beaufort High 45, Ashley Ridge 26: The Eagles cruised to victory, leveling their record in region matches at 2-2.
Securing points for the Eagles were Jake Sharp (106 pounds), Brandon Jenkins (138), Forrest Kimbrell (145), Clayton Wynn (152), Trey Arant (160), Thyrik Legree (182), Clint Wright (195), Maliek Maldonado (220) and Tyler Wilson (285).
Maldonado's victory gave him the school's career record for wins.
Beaufort High (28-8 overall, 2-2 Region 8-AAAA) wrestles again on Saturday at the Stratford Invitational, an individual tournament.
