On eve of primary, special episodes of "Washington Week" and "Need to Know" will air

On the eve of South Carolina's Republican primary, viewers can tune in to a special edition of "Washington Week" produced at South Carolina ETV's studios in Columbia. The episode airs Friday, Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. on ETV, and again Monday, Jan. 23 at 5:30 p.m. on ETV World.

Previewing South Carolina's crucial "First in the South" primary, the program will feature host Gwen Ifill and a panel of reporters who have been following the candidates:

-- Jeff Zeleny of The New York Times

-- Karen Tumulty of The Washington Post

-- Charles Babington of The Associated Press

-- Sam Youngman of Reuters

Ifill will also be the primary correspondent for Friday's "PBS NewsHour" with reports originating from ETV's studios. The program can be seen on ETV at 6 p.m., with rebroadcasts later that night on ETV World at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
