Voters can report Primary Day abuses

The U.S. Attorney's Office announced Thursday that it has made three toll-free numbers available for South Carolinians to report any voting problems during the state's primary Saturday.

To contact the Department of Justice, call 1-800-253-3931; to contact the U.S. Attorney's Office, call 803-929-3052; to contact the FBI, call 803-551-4200.

With South Carolina's GOP presidential primary near, Beaufort County is making final preparations. Voting machines, 162 in all, are being delivered to polling places throughout the county, and about 300 clerks and poll workers are scheduled to man them Saturday. Nine candidates will appear on the ballot, including erstwhile contenders Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann, Gary Johnson and Rick Perry. Here's what you need to know:

WHO: Any voter registered in S.C. can cast a GOP presidential primary ballot.

WHAT TO TAKE: A voter registration card, driver's license or ID card issued by the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles.

WHEN: Precincts will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
