Beaufort Academy 70, Hilton Head Prep 63: Preston Suber scored 27 points, and Beaufort Academy rallied after trailing most of the game to grab a victory Saturday at the University of South Carolina's Colonial Center in Columbia.
Michael Bible added 16 points, and went 7 for 8 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to help the Eagles prevent Prep from reclaiming the lead.
Jack Griffith chipped in with 13 points for Beaufort Academy (6-6), which plays at First Baptist on Tuesday.
"I thought my guys showed pretty good poise," Eagles coach Chip Dinkins said.
Four players scored in double figures for Hilton Head Prep (4-13). Shaun Topper, Charlie Wilmot and Randy Young each had 14 points, and John Sheehan finished with 13. Topper and Sheehan each had three steals and three assists, and Topper also had a team-high nine rebounds. Wilmot led the Dolphins with six assists.
Hilton Head Prep hosts Memorial Day on Tuesday.
Ridgeland 55, Wade Hampton 54: Terrance Frazier scored 15 points and hit a pair of key free throws near the end to help the Jaguars hold off Wade Hampton.
Jeremiah Nelson added 12 points, and Toray Amlett had 10 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Tyron Mikell added six points and 13 rebounds for Ridgeland, which led the whole way.
The Jaguars (6-7) host Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Friday.
