Colleton Prep 63, Beaufort Academy 28: The Eagles succeeded in holding Colleton Prep's top player in check, but were otherwise overwhelmed in a non-region defeat.
Miranda Weslake and Katherine Neal each scored eight points to help lead the Eagles. McKenzie Blake added six points for Beaufort Academy.
The Eagles held Colleton Prep standout Sarah McDonald to four points, but Colleton Prep heated up beyond the arc. Four consecutive 3-pointers during the first quarter helped propel the hosts to an 18-8 lead.
"They were on fire," Jay Gardner said. "... They were surprising. It wasn't what we expected."
Beaufort Academy (5-5) plays today at Charleston Collegiate.

Beaufort Academy 57, Colleton Prep 41: Beaufort Academy jumped out to a 27-0 lead and rolled from there.
