Weslie Thompson and Sam Keeler of Beaufort were married at 3 p.m. Dec. 17, 2011 in The Parish Church of St. Helena (Episcopal) in Beaufort.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Suzanne Thompson of Beaufort. The groom is the son of the Rev. Steve and Mrs. Kay Keeler of Beaufort.

The Revs. Mark Avera and Fred Wilson officiated.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a stunning sleek and sophisticated wedding gown. Her strapless, ivory wedding gown was a satin trumpet that featured a ribbon waist and center front embellishments. The sweep train was adorned with buttons along the back. She wore a Galina fingertip veil with pearl embellishments. The veil was complimented by a floral comb with pearl and crystal embellishments.

Maid of honor was Joanna Jones. Bridesmaids were Nicole Beach of Beaufort, Rebecca Deans of Mount Pleasant and Lauren Shuler of Sumpter.

The groom's father served as best man. Ushers were Jordan Panter of Tennessee, Patrick Waters of Atlanta, Cyrus Edleson of Charleston, Brent La Chance and Kyle Thompson, brother of the bride.

The reception was at Dataw Island Club.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of the College of Charleston where she received her BA in Special Education. She is employed by Devon Forest.

The groom is a 2011 graduate of The Citadel where he received a BA in History. He is the manager at the Holiday Inn.

Following a honeymoon to Atlanta, Ga., they will reside in Charleston.
