Help is available for domestic abuse

Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse joins a recent letter writer in commending the Zonta Club of Hilton Head Island's "Say NO to Violence Against Women" campaign, publicized by a full-page ad in The Island Packet and The Beaufort Gazette on Oct. 23. In her letter, she also pointed out the importance of raising awareness about domestic violence and the fact that abuse can take many forms beyond physical violence -- including emotional and financial abuse. Fortunately, help is available. CODA has been providing services and support to Lowcountry victims of domestic violence and their children for 25 years.
