Hilton Head Christian 59, Thomas Heyward Academy 32: The Eagles won the Warhawk Invitational hosted by Colleton Prep.
The Christian Academy's Conner Millen led all scorers with 12. For the Eagles, Clay Oliver added 10 points, Taylor MacDonald 9, Brad Meccariello 8, Jamario Williams 8 and C.J. Evanofski 7.
Hilton Head Christian (4-1) travels to Wilson Hall on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Taylor Cowart scored nine points for Thomas Heyward, which plays host to Colleton Prep on Wednesday.
Palmetto Christian 58, Hilton Head Prep 56: The Dolphins had a chance to win but missed a 3-point attempt at the buzzer on the final day of Colleton Prep's tournament.
Sophomore Shaun Topper led Prep with 22 points and 13 rebounds before fouling out late in the game. Charlie Wilmot added 12 points and five assists for the Dolphins. John Sheehan scored eight and passed out five assists. And Prep's Randy Young chipped in five points and seven boards.
Hilton Head Prep (1-2) plays host to Bible Baptist on Tuesday.
"Every day is not better than the day before," Dolphins coach Bob Sulek said. "Sometimes you take a step back."
Burke 64, Beaufort High 45: Beaufort High fell in its second game of the Shoney's Invitational. Joey Chaplin led the Eagles with 12 points, Tyrone Holmes added eight points and Jordan Broussard scored six for the Eagles (1-1).
Burke (4-0) was led by Solomon Dukes' 13 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Thomas Heyward Academy 49, Laurence Manning 46: The Rebels claimed the Shoney's Invitational girls title at Colleton Prep by slipping past Laurence Manning, thanks in large part to Jamie Malphrus' 34 points.
Ashlie Layman added six points and Caitlyn Cooler scored four, with nine assists. Cooler was named the tournament's most valuable player. Layman was also named to the all-tournament team.
Thomas Heyward (5-0) plays host to Colleton Prep on Wednesday.
Beaufort High 52, Burke 51 (OT): Stephanie Gray's free throw with no time remaining in overtime lifted the Eagles in their season opener.
Gray finished with three points. Emani Gray led Beaufort High with 17 points and five assists. Paris Smith chipped in nine points and a team-best seven rebounds, and Jordan Fields also had nine points for the Eagles.
Beaufort High, down 31-21 at halftime, faced a 14-point deficit entering the fourth quarter.
The Eagles visit Bluffton on Tuesday.
Holly Hill Academy 53, Hilton Head Christian 29: Lauren Davis led the Eagles with nine points and freshman Andy Anderson added six.
The Eagles slipped to 1-4 on the season. They travel to Wilson Hall on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. game
WRESTLING
Atomsmasher Duals: Battery Creek finished fourth of 10 teams at the Savannah meet. The Dolphins defeated Savannah High School, 60-21, lost to Brunswick High School 45-31, defeated Benedictine Military 48-25, defeated Johnson High School 66-17 and lost to Richmond Hill 41-33.
Heavyweight David Ratliff led the Dolphins with five pins. Javon Livingston went 5-0 at 195, with four pins. Josh Knight and Shaq Gause combined to finish 5-0 at 220, with three pins. Josh Green scored two major decisions at 138, and DeAndre Johnson (152) and Chris Bockelman (113) recorded four pins each for Battery Creek, which improved to 8-4 on the season.
Southern Slam: Beaufort High finished 14th, with 96 points, and Hilton Head High finished 23rd, with 68 points, at the prestigious meet hosted by Eastside High School in Greenville.

FOOTBALL
SCISAA North/South All-Star game: Members of Hilton Head Christian Academy, Hilton Head Prep and Thomas Heyward competed on the North squad in the SCISAA North/South All-Star game in Orangeburg. The North team defeated the South 21-7.
For the Eagles, Zach Reynolds was named a team captain, started at linebacker, and recorded four tackles and two pass breakups. Tight end Devan Fitzhugh caught three passes for 25 yards and recorded two pancake blocks. Hilton Head Christian's Cory Cheadle and Nick Borghi started on offensive line, and Cheadle also handled long-snapping duties.
Prep's L.J. Orage started at defensive end and finished with six tackles and a forced fumble. He also rushed three times for 15 yards and caught two passes for 20 yards.
