MindStream Academy, a boarding program in Bluffton to help teens lose weight, will host a "Helping Kids Fit" event from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Cinemark Bluffton on Buckwalter Parkway.

The event is a TEDx program, stemming from the nonprofit TED, which is devoted to "ideas worth spreading" and features inspirational speakers on www.ted.com/talks.

MindStream Academy will host a reception after the event that includes tours of its campus on 11 Grassey Lane.
