Ted Huffman and Karen Lavery are challenging incumbents Fred Hamilton and Allyne Mitchell, with the two top vote-getters earning the seats.
Mayor Lisa Sulka's term also expires, but because she was unopposed, there will be no mayoral election.
TURNOUT EXPECTATIONS
Turnout in recent municipal elections has been sparse.
There are 7,066 registered voters in Bluffton, according to the county elections board. In 2009, only 552 of the town's then 5,650 registered voters, or about 9.77 percent, cast ballots.
ARE YOU A BLUFFTON VOTER?
Residents can find out if they're registered by logging on to the Beaufort County elections board website at bcgov.net/vote and clicking the "Vote" button at the bottom of the page.
If the City Council Code is "22," the voter is registered within town limits.
If it reads "99" or any other designation, the voter is not registered in town limits and will not be able to cast a ballot.
