The League of Women Voters of the Hilton Head Island/Bluffton Area will host its first-ever forum for Bluffton candidates at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Town Hall.
Incumbents Fred Hamilton and Allyne Mitchell are being challenged by Karen Lavery and Ted Huffman for two non-partisan, at-large seats. The election is Nov. 8.
Scott Grooms, Beaufort County's director of broadcast services, said that if broadcast tests are successful, the forum should air live at 7 p.m. Wednesday and be replayed at 8 p.m. Friday night. It also will be streamed on demand at the county's website, www.bcgov.net.
The County Channel is on Comcast Channel 2, Charter Channel 20, Hargray Channels 9 and 252, Time Warner Channel 66 on Hilton Head Island, and Time Warner Channel 26 in Sun City Hilton Head.
The candidates also are to meet in a forum at 7 p.m. today near the pool in the Pinecrest amenities center, according to community property owners association member Mike Tripka.
